Oh My Soul | Part 3 | Pastor Chris Heller
They say emotional wounds are some of the most difficult to overcome. They can leave wounds that last throughout a lifetime. Unfortunately, if these wounds are not mended, they can lead to a bitter soul full of jealousy, complaint, and resentment.
But I have good news! There is healing for the hurting soul, and restoration for the bitter spirit. Join us this week as we continue our week of prayer series, “Oh My Soul”, in Psalm 73.

Oh My Soul | Part 2 | Pastor Chris Heller
There are times in our lives when we can become angry at the evil and suffering that we see around us. We simply do not understand why God would allow some of these horrific acts to occur. In fact, we know that many people struggle deeply with the question, “how could a loving God allow evil and suffering?”
Sometimes, we can feel like it’s wrong to question God. However, scripture is full of incidences when writers sought answers to their questions rooted beneath their troubled emotions.
Join us this week as we continue our series “Oh My Soul,” where we'll look at another Psalm (13), and see how David handled his questions about evil and suffering with the God he trusted and loved.

Oh My Soul | Part 1 | Pastor Chris Heller
This Sunday, we will be introducing our new sermon series, “Oh My Soul,” which will lead into our Week of Prayer later this month. In this series we’ll be focusing on our inner man and the need to spiritually nurture our inner soul.
Throughout the book of Psalms, David and the other psalmists referred often to the condition of their souls, crying out that their souls are thirsty, weary, troubled, discouraged, clinging to God. During Jesus’ time on earth he asked his followers, “For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” (Mark 8:36) He emphasized the possibility of losing our soul to misguided worldly pursuits and earthly gain.
In this series, we’ll concentrate on how to study the Word and pray in ways that uplift, fill up, encourage and inspire our souls to long after God. Looking forward to starting this new series together!

Wonder Of Christmas | Part 3 | Pastor Chris Heller
We have been learning a great deal as we study the characteristics of 'the coming servant' in the book of Isaiah, our primary text for our "Wonder of Christmas" sermon series. In the first two servant songs, we have found him to be both ‘gentle and lowly’ and ‘meek and measured.' These traits are counter intuitive to the definition of success in any society, and yet that is what Jesus portrayed to His followers. Just think of it -- God Himself, taking on the form of a humble servant. What a wonder!
Join us this Sunday as we consider another aspect from the third servant song -- the Steadfast Servant (Isaiah 50:4-11).

Wonder of Christmas | Part 2 | Pastor Chris Heller
Last week, we discovered four servant songs in the prophetic literature of Isaiah that spoke of an individual who will come as a servant to not only Israel, but to all the nations. In the first servant song, Isaiah 42, we read about a coming servant that would be “gentle and lowly” in approach to his work.
This week, we will read in the second servant song, Isaiah 49, of a coming servant that would be “powerful and patient” in the fulfillment of his work. Again we will ask, is this servant simply Israel, or is the one being spoken of the fulfillment of the Messiah, the child to come, that Isaiah had prophesied?

Are You Full Of It? | Thanksgiving Sunday | Pastor Gabe Vanderstel
It's Thanksgiving week, which means you're probably full of turkey, stuffin, and pumpkin pie. You may have even taken a moment to express what you're thankful for.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday of reflection, but what about the other 364 days of the year? For most of us, we move on with our busy lives without discovering the joy that awaits us on the other side of daily thanksgiving.
Join us this Sunday as we are encouraged to put on our "Gratitude Glasses" in order to clearly see the infinite grace, gifts, and goodness that flow from God.
