Remarkable | Part 9 | Pastor Chris Heller
1st Peter 4:1-11
This week we will be concentrating on the ‘remarkable difference’ (1 Peter 4:1-11) that occurs in the believer's life at the moment of salvation. One of the most obvious differences is often in the change of desires, passions, relationships, and purposes of the life that has been made new in Christ.
Are there things that are noticeably different about you? The way you talk, the places you go, the way you react to information? What about in the areas of life where you have chosen to say ‘no’ to what the world would typically say ‘yes’ to? Simply put, do people see a difference in you because you’ve been saved?
Join us this Sunday as we reflect on the remarkable difference Christ can, and even should, make in a life. Be encouraged as we hope to rekindle some behaviors that are sure to surprise people and make them ask about what has inspired us to be so different. What a great focus for Communion Sunday!

REMARKABLE | Remarkable Goodness | 1st Peter (pt 8)

Remarkable | Part 8 | Pastor Chris Heller
In this week's text, Peter will dig down even deeper into the subject of remarkable living by calling the church to respond to insults and criticisms far differently than the world they are passing through.
Do you find yourself easily angered? Do you find yourself easily offended? Is it hard for you to entrust God with revenge when you see apparent injustices or poor behavior?
This Sunday, Peter will call the church to live with remarkable goodness. Specifically, responding with good when treated with evil. The church has such an opportunity during these times to demonstrate something the world will see that demands they ask about the hope we have inside us. I trust this week will be a great reminder of what we can and should do in times like these.

Remarkable | Part 7 | Pastor Chris Heller
In this week's study, Peter turns from focusing on the testimony that can come from submitting to governing authorities to the testimony that can come from a God-honoring marriage. We live in a society that does not understand the importance or significance of God’s design in marriage.
This Sunday, we will discover what that design is, how God has provided it as an illustration, and how that illustration can motivate couples to maintain the submission, honor, respect and love that is to be modeled before the world in a God-honoring marriage relationship.
I believe this will be a real encouragement to all those who are married, as well as a great motivator for all those who hope to be one day. Biblical marriage is meant to be . . . remarkable!

Remarkable | Part 6 | Pastor Chris Heller
This week, we will look at 1 Peter 2:17-25 and examine Peter’s call to the church to submit to the authorities over their lives. Wait… what?
Peter, are you forgetting Nero is a pagan ruler enforcing an agenda rooted in evil? What if he is cruel towards them? What if he asks them to do something they feel is wrong before the Lord?
I cannot remember a season in my lifetime when this message has been more prevalent to the church in America.

Remarkable | Part 5 | Pastor Chris Heller
Do we build our house on the rocks or on the sand? The key to stability is having a firm foundation. When our foundation is on Jesus and we anchor ourselves in God’s word, we are strong and prepared the changes that happen around us. This Sunday we walk through 1st Peter 2:1-10

This week we will continue our Remarkable series in 1 Peter 1:17-25. Peter will be encouraging his audience about how important it is for them to live out the commission to live with holiness out of their reverence for Christ and what he has done.
We will leverage this text to enhance our apologetic on the value of scripture and the impact it can have in sharing the gospel. Specifically, the five reasons the Bible is the most important book you will ever read. It truly is a remarkable book!

Remarkable | Part 3 | Pastor Chris Heller
Peter has laid a foundation for his suffering audience that is based on the hope and joy they have in anticipating an inheritance coming to them at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
Peter now turns his attention to their specific calling to be unique in 1 Peter 1:13-16. This week, we will truly get to unpack what the remarkable life looks like. We will be challenged to design our lives around our Designer, as we have been called to be unique, to be holy, as He is holy.
I think this week will not only be insightful, but it will be filled with practical application as to how believers can live in such a way that they have an opportunity to share their hope! And on a quick note, if you love interior design, you’re going to enjoy this message!

Remarkable | Part 2 | Pastor Chris Heller
Last week we began our series in 1 Peter by focusing on the believer’s remarkable hope despite the times of oppression, isolation, and rejection they were living in. We were encouraged by Peter’s reminder to believers of any age that we’ve been picked out, picked up, and paid for!
This week, we will continue our series by focusing on the remarkable salvation that comes from the faith that believes in Jesus, despite having not yet seen Him. Come also prepared to investigate the work of the prophets and inquire into the validity of the Hebrew text as we decipher the apologetic importance of the Dead Sea scrolls.
Looking forward to another week of inspirational truths from scripture that will inspire us to live with remarkable conduct, have remarkable conversations, and give remarkable clarifications to anyone who asks about the Hope inside us.

REMARKABLE | Part 1 | Pastor Chris Heller
We are excited to begin our new series in 1 Peter this week!
What kind of book would you expect Jesus’ "bulldog of a disciple" to write? Wouldn’t you expect it to be full of bold charges, passionate pleas, even confrontational language?
Yet, the first book of Peter embodies a far different tone. With surprising pastoral warmth and theological sweep, we read the guiding words of a man determined to bring a living hope to his audience, despite the evil government oppression they were facing.
I trust this will be an impactful series full of inspiring challenges, apologetic points, and guiding principles for all of life’s journey.

Remarkable | 1 Peter | Pastor Chris Heller
Regardless of our personal views, we all find ourselves living in a divided society that is being bombarded with fear, intimidation, and ever-present threats to our well-being.
The reality is, many of us might feel worried, manipulated, frustrated, and at a loss of what the future may hold. How then shall we live?
Scripture’s answer might surprise you. It calls us to live REMARKABLE lives. You’re probably thinking, “Come on! You can’t do that in the midst of health concerns, rumors of wars, and societies raging with division.”
The truth is, what God calls us to will not be easy or natural for most of us, and it certainly won’t be what we see in our culture.
But our hope is that in the midst of a society telling us we can’t be REMARKABLE, our entire church family would respond to that challenge with one simple phrase, “Say I won’t!”
See you Sunday online or in-person as we begin to take the challenge to be “REMARKABLE.”
