Good Plans - Joseph | Judah | Pastor Chris Heller
Genesis 37:12-36
How can this be a good plan? Joseph has been rejected, abandoned and thrown into a pit, only to be sold to a caravan of Ishmaelite's on their way to Egypt!
Some might say, "Where is God in this? How could a loving God allow this to happen to Joseph? I thought God was a good God?"
This Sunday we continue our story in Egypt as we open the next two chapters and witness the character of two brothers who are faced with sexual temptation -- one who succumbed (Judah) and one who succeeded (Joseph).
Join us this week as we learn how to combat lust, the Joseph way!

Good Plans - Joseph | The Pit | Pastor Chris Heller
Genesis 37:12-36
Isn’t it GOOD to know that God has provided a roadmap for all of His children to follow (Romans 12:9-21), as well as a life for all His children to emulate (Genesis 37:12-36), in how we overcome and respond to all the evil we are surrounded by? Within this very dark world, we’ve been called to shine our light.
God is GOOD… all the time.

Galatians 6:10-18
Join us this Sunday as we conclude our summer series in the book of Galatians!
We've seen how Paul began his letter to the Galatians harshly, with agitation over the lies they were believing. But by the time he finishes his writing, he has a very different tone. What could have caused such a change in his message?

Galatians 6:7-9
Have you ever tried your hand at growing your own produce? It takes quality seeds, healthy soil, regular watering, and protection from harmful elements. The hope, of course, is to enjoy a harvest so abundant and sweet that everyone delights in the fruit.
The law of sowing and reaping is simple and unchanging: if you plant apple seeds, you’ll grow apple trees. Those seeds will never produce oranges, grapes, or watermelons—only apples.
This week, as we continue in our Galatians series, we turn to a small but powerful passage in chapter 6 where the Apostle Paul reminds us that the same principle applies to our spiritual lives. In just three verses, Paul gives us:
- A warning about what and where we sow
- A principle that shapes the outcome of our lives
- An encouragement for the weary to keep going in doing good
If you’ve ever felt tired in your walk with Christ, this message will breathe fresh hope into your heart. Let’s take Paul’s words to heart—sowing to the Spirit, trusting God with the harvest, and rejoicing in the reward that only He can give.

Galatians 6:1-6
I was raised with a deep appreciation for the military. The bravery, valor, and mindset of the American soldier has made the United States the greatest fighting force on the planet. While every soldier is committed to the completing of the mission, soldiers also have a responsibility to each other—a solemn duty to look out for one another in battle.
Last week, we talked about what it means to follow the Spirit in our individual lives. This week, Paul shifts to a related question: As we live in the Spirit, what’s our duty to each other?
Paul has two commands to issue, and—just like the American soldier—he’s going to lay some serious responsibility on our shoulders to look out for each other.
