GET WISDOM: Proverbs - How Long Will You Be Simple? (pt 2)

In this message we learn the benefits of reading (and knowing) Proverbs which will:

1.Increase my Wisdom

2.Deepen my Thinking

3.Advance my Experience

4.Mold my Decision Making

5.Training in Righteousness

 

In opposition to wisdom is folly which seeks to:

1.Lure you in

2.Lust for Stuff

3.Manipulate People

4.Sneak the System

5.Run to Dumb

 

Drawing from Proverbs 26:3-10 we gather insight on how to deal with folly:

1. Do not be permissive with it or tolerate it.
2. Do not stoop to its behavior.
3. Do not hesitate to counter folly.
4. Do not encourage or promote folly.
5. Do not have any business or association with folly.

Finally, take note that you have to want Lady Wisdom's help by seeking it (wisdom).  Start reading Proverbs!

GET WISDOM: Proverbs - Ask (pt 1)

Do you ever think, "I know what knowledge is. What is wisdom? Do I need it?"Proverbs 4:7 tells us that "The beginning of wisdom is this: Get Wisdom. Though it cost everything you have, Get Understanding."

How do you get wisdom?  James 1:5 says "Now if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him."

          God wants his kids to Ask Big

          He likes his kids to Go Big

          & He rewards his kids who Love Big
