Ecclesiastes 6
Have you ever noticed the closer an object is to a light source, the bigger the shadow that is cast will be? The size and angle of the shadow is directly related to its proximity to the light source. In fact, an object cannot cast a shadow without a light source.
Shadows play a fascinating role in our everyday lives, adding depth, mystery, and even a touch of magic to the world around us. They create a captivating contrast between light and darkness.
As we move into Ecclesiastes chapter 6, we will leverage this concept as we honor our fathers this Sunday. How can fathers cast a godly shadow over their children, whether the sun is still high in the sky or approaching twilight?

Made New | Pastor Jon Adams
In 2 Corinthians 5:17 we read, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, this person is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” At Renew, we like to use a phrase based on this scripture on Baptism Sundays: “I have been made new.” But what does that mean?
In his devotional, Pastor Jon unpacks how, once we have accepted Christ into our hearts, we have a new identity. We are a new creation, not because of anything we’ve done, not because we deserve it, but because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

Seasons | Let My Words Be Few | Pastor Chris Heller
Ecclesiastes 5:1-7
We’ve all said something we regret. Why the regret? Because we know our words are powerful. They can both wound and heal.
In the season of life you find yourself in, have you been more careless or more careful with your words? Are they an encouragement or discouragement to others?
Join us this Sunday as we are challenged to consider our words, especially in those times when they should be few!

Ecclesiastes 3:16-4:16
Have you ever noticed that certain people seem to have more difficulty in life than others? Tragedy, disease, and challenging circumstances keep happening to them until you wonder how much more they can bear. Or, as we go through our own seasons of life, we might be tempted to question, “why am I in this season and ‘they’re’ not?”
This is where we find Solomon in our text this week. In light of the difficult trials and circumstances he sees all around him, Solomon concludes that life is just full of trouble. We might have different trials, but we’re all in the same storm. How we respond has a great deal to do with who walks beside us through the storm. Do we have someone who will encourage and motivate us to get to the other side?
In this message, we examine the types of friends that we can turn to in the midst of our trials, and how they can influence our response. We pray this message will inspire you to move forward and cherish who God has put you with in your season of struggle.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-15
We've come to that famous passage in our Ecclesiastes studies that nearly everyone has heard of at one time or another. A certain familiar tune might even be running through your mind. "To every thing -- turn, turn, turn -- there is a season -- turn, turn, turn . . ."
By now, we all recognize that life is a series of seasons. As we celebrate our moms this Mother’s Day, we will reflect on the various seasons of not only a mother’s life, but those that affect families and individuals as well, and we will see that God has ordained them all.

Ecclesiastes 2:12-26
Join us this Sunday as we continue in chapter 2 of Ecclesiastes. Last week, we saw how Solomon chose to pursue every earthly pleasure and discovered the emptiness of selfish indulgence vs. living a life of giving generosity to others.
This week, he debates the futility of working to merely accumulate wealth and possessions, knowing he must eventually leave it all to someone who may squander it. From his experience, we learn that true contentment comes from recognizing that work is a gift from God that can bring joy and meaning when done to His glory.

Ecclesiastes 2:1-11
Join us this Sunday as we continue our study of Ecclesiastes, a book of wisdom about how to navigate the seasons that come and go in our lives.
This week, Solomon will test his heart by indulging in every form of pleasure available to see whether there is any satisfaction to be found in them. What he discovers will provide insight into the folly of selfish indulgence vs. living a life of generosity toward others. Through his experience, we can gain wisdom in how to ensure our earthly pursuits are aligned to God's will.

Ecclesiastes 1:12-18
We’re so excited for week two, this Sunday, in our Ecclesiastes series entitled “Seasons.”
We all find ourselves in different seasons of life, and we often don't understand how we got there or what we should do while going through a difficult one. This series is helping us learn how we can best trust God and walk in the fear of the Lord as we navigate the challenges of whatever season we find ourselves in.
