Gospel Of Mark | Help My Unbelief - Part 22 | Pastor Chris Heller
Mark 9:14-28
Last week, we followed Jesus up to the top of a mountain where we reflected on the glory of His transfiguration. What a ‘super moment’ that must have been! However, this Sunday we will follow Jesus down the mountain and examine what evil can do in the life of a child being attacked by demons, and what doubt can do in the life of a father who is watching and simply feels helpless. This Sunday will be a good reminder of how to react when you sense the devil’s attacks on your loved ones.

Gospel of Mark | Supermoments - Part 21 | Pastor Chris Heller
Mark 9:1-13
Last week, we looked at what we called a "watershed moment" in Mark 8:27-38, when Peter made "the great confession" that Jesus is indeed the Christ. This week, we will follow Peter, James and John up the Mount of Transfiguration and examine one of the most amazing 'super moments' in all of scripture . . . the moment when Jesus showed them His glory.
If you think God is good, but you want to feel God is good; if you think God is with you, but you want to feel God is with you; this Sunday should be a real encouragement to you!

Gospel of Mark | Who Do You Say...? - Part 20 | Pastor Chris Heller
We define a watershed moment as a turning point, the exact moment that changes the direction of an activity or situation. This week, we will witness just that. Jesus has performed countless miracles before his disciples, and now he demands a response. "Who do you say I am?"
Looking forward to this Sunday as we examine our commitment to Christ.

Gospel Of Mark | Even The Crumbs - Part 17 | Pastor Chris Heller
Last week, we looked at Mark 7:1-23 and saw how Jesus responded to the hypocrisy of the Pharisees who were criticizing the disciples for violating the rules of the Sabbath. They “honored God with their lips, but their hearts were far from him.”
This week, we're going to pick up in verse 24, where we encounter Jesus still seeking to escape the ever-pressing crowds. We will follow him into a place of respite, only to be abruptly interrupted by a Syrophoenician woman desperately seeking help for her daughter.
Join us this Sunday as we learn the power of bold, vigilant, persistent prayer.

This Is Who He Is - Gospel Of Mark | They Honor Me With Their Lips (pt 16)

Gospel Of Mark | Part 16 | Pastor Jon Adams
"They honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” Jesus famously quoted these words in one of his classic rebukes of the Pharisees. The Pharisees were hypocrites. Their entire approach to God was wrong.
While we don’t encounter Pharisees today, the problem of hypocrisy lives on, not just in our world, but in the church as well. It seems like you can’t go a week without reading about a church leader who’s been exposed for something. It’s a problem in the church today. People still “honor God with their lips, but their hearts are far from him.”
But let’s be honest -- it’s not just a problem with church leaders. All of us who follow Christ are prone to hypocrisy. We all sometimes try to present a better version of ourselves than the real us. So how does Jesus encourage his followers to avoid the age-old trap of the Pharisees?
This week, we’ll look at Mark 7:1-23, and we’ll see Jesus respond to his opponents and teach his followers how to overcome hypocrisy in their lives.

Gospel Of Mark | Wavewalker - Part 15 | Pastor Chris Heller
Last week, we witnessed Jesus feed the 5,000 with just five loaves and two fish. We asked ourselves, "What small thing could we give to Jesus that He would want to multiply?"
This Sunday, we encounter another one of the more famous passages of scripture -- the time Jesus walked on water. Come as we explore why he did that, what was accomplished, and why it matters! Are you ready to be a wavewalker?

Gospel Of Mark | Part 14 | Pastor Chris Heller
Last week, we watched a root of bitterness lead to the murder of John the Baptist. This week, weary from the relentless crowds and grieving the death of John the Baptist, Jesus and his disciples try to go into seclusion to rest. But the crowds keep coming. Though exhausted, he doesn’t look away . . . he looks on them, and does so with compassion.
Why? He saw them as “sheep without a shepherd.” Join us this Sunday as we learn about the Good Shepherd!

Last week we witnessed what can happen to those whom God has called into the spotlight. This week we will witness what harbored anger, bitterness, and hatred can lead to from the murderous plot of Herod’s wife, Herodias.
Join us this Sunday as we learn to cultivate uncommon responses to poor treatment so that we do not allow a grudge to grow a root of bitterness in our lives, or in our homes.
